Our Mission

WiseEarthBushSchool-21

“Our deepest purpose is to help support the learning revolution back to nature. If you have a body, you are Nature! ‘WE’ inspires and fulfils your curiosity through play, connection and culture.”

Each year more parents, caretakers and educators are heading out of the ‘schoolhouse’ and into the movement of home-schooling or bush-schooling as they begin to see the value of developing non-cognitive skills and social and emotional well-being over traditional academics limited to ABC 123.

We honour the authentic path for learning and we stand for Children’s rights to explore the value of outdoor play.

Our mission features a strong connectedness to place and an inter-relationship between all beings.

Thank you so very much for being here!
Join the Revolution!

“There is no single effort more radical in its potential for saving the world than a transformation of the way we raise our children.”

― Marianne Williamson

Our vision

Our vision is for children & parents to learn within our local forests. Children are guided by knowledgeable and experienced mentors, exploring the indigenous values of kinship fostering deeper relationships outside the immediate family. ‘WE’ sees the importance of play and passion-based learning; and how this can lead to healthy adulthood and a more harmonious world.

Moreover, we see empowered members of family in their unique journey for self-learning, re-awakening community-resilience. Self-knowing is the key enzyme for a more interconnected and wholesome culture.

Our Responsibility

  • To operate the highest quality outdoor program for early learners in the region
  • To raise learners to live harmoniously and perceive the world in unity
  • ‘WE’ design pathways to learning on nature’s terms (why we move around)
  • ‘WE’ develop skills that lasts generations
  • ‘WE’ place disciplinary standards on ourselves and on our wise children

‘WE’ comes to life in the form of community-building, ecological restoration, and education.

  • Leaving ‘basecamp’ in a better condition than we found it.

Please help us with our mission and get involved.
